The IWCZ has a strong interest in giving back to the community. The Executive Board includes a Philanthropy coordinator and proceeds from activities are donated to various philanthropic organizations throughout Croatia. Our members have raised over 5 million Kuna for charity in Croatia since our founding.
We are very happy to advise that IWCZ's Christmas Bazaar is back. Please Save the Date Sunday 3rd December, the beneficiary will be Savez društva multiple skleroze Hrvatska, we kindly ask all our Members to spread the word during the summer.

June IWCZ Philanthropy Event
Dolcinotti – June 5th 2023
Our ladies enjoyed a cup of coffee and a fabulous dessert all while helping a very worthy cause.
Dolcinotti is a really special place which has been purposely set up to employ ex addicts who have overcome addiction through the Reto Centre's rehabilitation programme. Once they graduate from the Reto Center to restart their life they are offered a place of employment at the cafe Dolcinotti which trains them and gives them a second chance in life to work, become independent and responsible for themselves and their families, by learning the skill of cake making.

Cooking with Frosie – April 21st 2023
Our own dear Frosie opened up her home to demonstrate Asian cuisine. Twelve ladies participated in this fun event with great food and drinks which supported Udruga SAVAO – a humanitarian organization that helps the homeless in Zagreb.

Islamic Centre, Divanhana Room – March 16th 2023
IWCZ’s Philanthropy event was organised by the Islamic Council in Zagreb and Supported by the Zirat of Islamic Community in Croatia , which is a charity organization which provides people in need with help in food, assistance in health care, clothes, etc. and The Institute for Arabic language and Islam which is The Institution of Islamic Community in Croatia which provides people with education in Islam and Arabic language. We will engage in a presentation of Women in the Islamic World. The funds raised went to the victims of the Turkish Earthquake fund set up by the Islamic Council Centre.

The Embassy of North Macedonia – Feb 23rd 2023
Thursday, February 23rd at 18:00 we hope to see you at our Philanthropy Event.
– In collaboration with the Embassy of N. Macedonia, we will have a guided tour of the beautiful newly finished church with its new paintings, wooden crafts and ornaments
– Presentation of the Art of Filigree Making
– Traditional Macedonian sweet and savory delights

Bubbles and Brunch Charity Event – February 10th 2023
Our 30 of our ladies enjoyed delicious pastries and drinks in Magnolia Cafe, Kaptol Center. The proceeds from this events were used to buy 350 krafne (special desserts) for the Soup Kitchen (Pučko Kuhinja) in Gundulićeva ulica.

We raised 1450 Kuna through our welcome drinks philanthropy evening which was held on Tuesday 27th September. Thank you to our members for your
te generosity, it was a lovely social evening and all for a good cause too! The funds will be transferred to Osmijeh Djeteta – Osijek, who are very grateful that we choose to support their Organisation.

Join IWCZ at the residence of the Ukrainian Ambassador where we will participate in a Master workshop to learn about ‘stone embroidery of Nova Kokhovka’. This is a patented stone façade embellishment artistry invented by artist-monumentalist Hrygoriy Dovzhenko. Please see flyer for sign up details.
Chilean Embassy ‘ Chilean Women – Creating a Future’ – 22/11/22
We enjoyed a documentary by 3 renowned Chilean directors who potray a group of talented Chilean women creating a future for Chile and the world. Tea Ceremony ‘ The Way of Tea ‘ – 30.11.22 at Zagreb’s unique Michelin Star Restaurant Noel
A Japanese cultural activity where the best quality leaves are prepared. Members had the opportunity to learn more about tea making and taste white, green, and black tea during the ceremony. Mr Karlo Ferenčak and Ms Maja Blažević from Materia presented the green matcha tea. In addition Ms Vesna Matic a specialist in Art Therapy explained the four fundamental principles of the Way of Tea, harmony, respect, purity and tranquility.
A heartfelt thank you to all for your overwhelming generosity and support in the November Philanthropy events. We have raised over 6000 kuna which will be donated to the Pučka Kuhinja located on Gundulićeva ulica in Zagreb it is run by the Sisters of Mercy of St. Vincent de Paul, led by the hardworking and well-known sister Tihomira Parlaj. Our donation will provide the kitchen with five days worth of meals.
