A warm welcome to all new and returning IWCZ members. My name is Daiva Kirkilaite-Chetcuti, a Lithuanian who came to Croatia 6 years ago and forgot to leave! I’ve been a member of the IWCZ since 2003, served on the Board once before, and am thrilled and excited to be your president for the 2009-2010 term. The IWCZ is dedicated to building a friendly and welcoming community for women of all nationalities to enjoy. I personally invite you to attend our monthly general meetings, sign up for a variety of exciting trips and excursions we have planned throughout the year, participate in several of our charity related activities, and get involved with many of the special interest groups that are happening on almost every day of the week. We are always interested in bringing fresh new ideas to our members, and at the same time we are devoted to nurturing those old tried and true traditions that everyone loves so much. As the old saying goes: a new brush sweeps clean….but an old brush knows the corners
