IWCZ’s Christmas Bazaar is held once a year on the first Sunday in Advent. It is the Club’s signature Charity event, and has become an important part of Advent in Zagreb.
IWCZ selects one or two beneficiaries each year and all the proceeds collected from the Christmas Bazaar are donated to the selected Organization. The selection process is decided upon by the IWCZ board after reviewing a short list of Organisations in need.
The Charity Bazaar is organised with the overwhelming support of Embassies and Country Organisations resident in Zagreb. The stalls graciously attended to by Ambassadors and the Embassy staff get together and present food, souvenirs, and unique items from their countries which are sold at the Bazaar.
Throughout the day there are live song and dance performances on the stage which is specially set up for the Event, this creates a wonderful festive atmosphere and is enjoyed by all.
This year, the Christmas Bazaar will be held on December 1st, from 12:00 to 17:00. All proceeds will be donated to Carobni Svijet, a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and families through various social programs and initiatives.
